1935
The company is founded by Erwin Ott in Herzogenbuchsee.
The first manual ice-cream machines with ice-salting
cooling system are produced.
1947 OTT FREEZER present the first
automatic vertical freezer built in Europe. These machines
had starkly innovative features, i.e. direct expansion
cooling on the freezing cylinder, a stirrer instead of the
rotating vessel and vertical discharge of the ice-cream
mix.
The new vertical freezer are sold all over the world
1966 A new generation of freezers
equipped with basculating multi-stage beater is produced.
1976 The worldwide demand of Ott
Freezer products increases. Opening of a new workshop.
1985 Launch of Multifunction 1 (freezing and
pasteurizing)
1987 Launch of Multifunction 2 (freezing,
pasteurizing, cooking)
1991 Launch of Multifunction 3, the flagship
amongst the multifunction machines, with an integrated
chocolate heating program.
1996 Ott Freezer has been acquired by
Ali, worldwide leader in the Horeca and ice
cream machines production.
1999 A technical up-dating of the
multifunction machine is completed applying an advanced
electronic system, which allows a wider production range.
